MSL part 3

After a few days hiatus (June 2016) and a lot of fiddling I have updated the maps of Ferrymead. These maps now include all known past and present historical data as well as showing all of the different rail lines that have been at the site in the last 50 years.

And now it's time to get on with the rest of the map. Woolston has been completed as have Heathcote and Lyttelton. Opawa is straightforward enough as it was never more than a couple of passenger platforms. So then on to Linwood, Waltham and Christchurch. The latter two in particular will slow things down for a few days. Then there is Addington, Middleton, Sockburn, Hornby, Islington and Templeton. Once I get out that far I probably won't be drawing any more yards so things will go much faster. Unless there turns out to be significant aerial coverage - for example I may yet do Rolleston or Burnham, etc. The main aim to begin with has been to complete the long-overdue tidyup of the maps of the suburban yards of Christchurch insofar as it has been referred to on previous occasions.
